Prominent figure in the Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye has pledged his full support to President John Dramani Mahama’s administration in tackling corruption and holding former officials of President Akufo-Addo’s government accountable for their actions.
Adorye urged swift and resolute measures to combat corruption following President Mahama’s inauguration at the Black Star Square. He commended the president’s politically mature leadership style, describing the inaugural address as inspiring and inclusive, signaling a commitment to unity and progress for the nation.
Speaking during the event, Adorye emphasized the importance of addressing past wrongdoings, urging the government to act decisively against any misconduct by previous appointees.
“The change we desired is finally here. Now, we must prioritize justice for the people. Ministers and officials who looted state resources or mismanaged public funds must be arrested and prosecuted. Anyone who caused financial loss to the state or engaged in corrupt practices must answer for their actions,” he asserted.
Adorye further declared his readiness to aid this mission, stating, “President Mahama must ensure that every individual involved in corruption is brought to justice. This will rebuild trust in leadership. I am ready to assist in this fight and will soon begin exposing those I know to be corrupt.”
