The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), led by Kissi Agyebeng, has declared former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta wanted.
In a press briefing on February 12, the OSP disclosed that several factors have led to this decision.
According to the Special Prosecutor, investigations conducted by his office have revealed significant concerns that require urgent attention.
The OSP further stated that all efforts to arrange a meeting with the former Finance Minister have been unsuccessful. Additionally, information available to the office suggests that Mr. Ofori-Atta is no longer within the country’s jurisdiction.
“As per our findings, we have enough evidence indicating that the former Finance Minister has questions to answer. Since he is no longer in the jurisdiction, we hereby declare him wanted,” the OSP announced.
The Special Prosecutor also dismissed claims that members of his office had raided the residence of the former Finance Minister, stating that such reports are false and lack credibility.
