Ghanaian actor, politician, and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has disclosed his ambition to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.
During his vetting for the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Dumelo revealed that while his presidential aspirations are not for the immediate future, he envisions contesting between 2028 and 2060.
Responding to a question posed by Majority Leader Afenyo-Markin, he expressed that it would be an honor to serve as President.
“I would be more than honored to be the President of Ghana one day. It would be a privilege to serve the country. I think 2058, 2060,” he stated.
His remarks have since sparked widespread reactions on social media.
