Highlife icon Dada KD has stirred conversation with his unfiltered take on marriage, describing it as a “scam” — but only for those who aren’t fortunate in love.
In an interview with Ohemaa Acheampongmaa on GhHighlifeShow on Onua FM, the beloved crooner, celebrated for his romantic ballads, didn’t mince words. “Marriage is a scam,” he said. “But it’s not always the case. Sometimes, when you’re lucky in it, you can make it out successfully.”
Dada KD emphasized that lasting relationships hinge more on luck than effort. “It is luck,” he stressed. “And if you’re unlucky like me, who is yet to find someone and settle down, what you want to attain in life may not materialize.”
Despite never having tied the knot, the veteran musician hasn’t ruled out love entirely. He shared that he’s still searching for the right partner and remains hopeful. “But if I’m lucky, and all things being equal, I’ll introduce my woman to the world soon.”
His comments shed light on his personal life — an area he rarely opens up about — and hint at both vulnerability and hope as he continues to evolve, both musically and personally.
