Kuami Eugene, known for hits like Angela, Abena, Monica, and Belinda, shared some interesting insights during an interview with Amansan Krakye. He revealed that many of the female names featured in his songs are drawn from real-life experiences.
“The life I’m living; past, present, and future all shapes the kind of songs I create. The people I come into contact with influence my music,” he explained.
The Rockstar further stated, “Often, I’m telling the story of a female I’ve crossed paths with, whether as a friend or in a relationship. Yes, some of the names you hear in my songs, like Abena, are based on real people I’ve met.”
He went on to say, “I’ve had a few experiences with a lady named Abena, so when you hear that name in my songs, it’s a reflection of those encounters.”
