Hundreds of energetic National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth have converged at the premises of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to welcome Malik Basintale, the newly-appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of the agency.
President John Dramani Mahama, in his ongoing effort to build his administration, appointed Basintale to spearhead the YEA’s mandate of tackling unemployment and equipping Ghanaian youth with sustainable job opportunities and essential skills.
Ahead of officially assuming office on Monday, January 27, 2025, Malik Basintale, who also serves as the Deputy National Communications Officer of the NDC, issued a call to the party’s youth base to join him in marking the occasion. His invitation, extended via Facebook, showcased his commitment to inclusivity and his strong connection to the grassroots of the party.
“I am a product of the street and we’re not leaving anyone behind! Hence, Dear 5k MEN, 3k women, far rangers, bodycams team, Cock and hold unknown rangers, fire flames, Okada ningers, etc. Feel free to join me assume work at the YEA HQ tomorrow Monday at 10am. Let’s build the Ghana we want together!” he wrote on his Facebook.
As the day unfolded, footage shared by 3News captured the enthusiastic NDC supporters holding banners and signs, eagerly awaiting Basintale’s arrival. The palpable energy at the YEA offices reflects the excitement surrounding his leadership and the hope for impactful change under his tenure.
Basintale’s entry signals a renewed focus on addressing the pressing issue of unemployment and fostering collaboration to create opportunities for young Ghanaians.
